USED COOKING OIL (UCO)
Used cooking oil is considered waste, and collection points typically source it from restaurants, hotels, eateries, and food processing plants. Instead of discarding it as waste, UCO can be repurposed as a raw material for biodiesel production.
By recycling UCO into biodiesel, we can reduce reliance on conventional fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Utilizing UCO for biodiesel not only addresses environmental pollution but also enhances its economic value.
Rice Bran Acid Oil is processed through the desolventizer soapstock method, where soapstock is mixed with sulfuric acid to release free fatty acids and unreacted glycerides in the form of a mixture known as Acid Oil—a byproduct of Rice Bran Oil (RBO) processing.
